Our Exotic Butters Body Cream is our thickest body cream, and our most popular. The main ingredients are cocoa butter, unrefined shea butter & mango butter. Unrefined shea butter is desired more than refined, because when body butter is in it's most natural form, the healing properties of the butter remain in tact. Pure, unrefined shea butter has a higher amount of nutrients and therefore gives the user the most benefits. You could notice a slight nutty or butter smell, even in the scented jars, but many people actually like smelling that, it makes them know they are getting the real thing!
We also add cocoa butter & coconut oil, which are both known to help treat very dry skin, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis. Our cocoa butter is deodorized, because most people do not want to smell like chocolate! Cocoa butter that is not deodorized has a very strong aroma. We even added some squalane (olive derived) as an added benefit. Due to the popularity of argan oil, we have now added it to our Exotic Butters Creams.
We also now offer the option of adding Aloe Vera Gel to some of our body cream scents. The aloe vera will be infused into the body cream if you do choose to add this to your order. Just check the box below the drop down menu after choosing the scent, if you wish to add aloe vera to your cream. Please note, not all scents come with aloe.
The butters and oils in this body cream will coat your skin but will absorb quickly. You will feel the softness all day long. The cream is especially nice left after shaving your legs.
If you wish to purchase a lighter body cream, we also sell Shea Butter Light Body Creams, which also consists of refined shea butter, but does not have as many butters. Some prefer the Shea Body Cream in the summer months.
Unrefined Shea butter has natural properties of Vitamin A and vitamin D, which aid in the acceleration of cuts and wounds, and also helps rejuvenate the skin by promoting skin cell growth. Shea Butter is also a natural sunscreen, and contains fatty acids which improve skin's elasticity; helps with dermatitis, eczema and rosacea.
Mango butter has natural emollient properties; helps with wound healing, and regenerative properties; softens the skin and reduces scars. It also protects against UV radiation. Many customers have said that mango butter has helped reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Cocoa butter (deodorized) has been called the ultimate moisturizer and is often recommended for the treatment of eczema and dermatitis. Cocoa butter, when applied, creates a barrier between the skin and the environment; and also retains moisture. It is also known to help with dermatitis. We all hear pregnant women say that they like cocoa butter to prevent and treat stretch marks.
Argan oil is an all natural product, which means it works on all skin types, even sensitive skin. It is made from the nuts of the argan tree, which grows naturally near the Atlas mountains of Morocco. For centuries, Berber women from the Atlas have known and treasured Argan oil because of its moisturizing and regenerating properties. Argan oil is rich in essential, unsaturated fatty acids like Oleic and Linoleic, Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin E & retinoids. The amount of Vitamin E in argan oil is almost double than that in olive oil. It helps with stretch marks in pregnant women, helps with sunburn, psoriasis.
Squalane (olive-derived) clears up many skin problems (eczema, dermatitis, rashes, etc.) and also heals cracked skin.

| Suggested Routine: | Tips for soft, smooth skin: To really soften your skin and get rid of dry patches, you need to first remove the dead skin which is causing the dryness. 1. Use Massaging Exfoliating Gloves in the shower - wet the gloves and use them all over your body (these are made of polyester and are machine washable on the gentle cycle so you can buy one pair and keep them for a long time)! 2. Next you want to use a Luxurious Sugar Scrub (which contains moisturizing ingredients), you can use the scrub in conjunction with the gloves or you can use it with your hands, making circular motions. Be gentle over sensitive parts of the body, like delicate neck and thigh tissue. Some people like to use it 3 times a week when they first start. 3. When you are all finished your scrub session, use a little bit of the sugar and scrub your lips with your gloves! This works great to get rid of chapped lips. 4. Lastly, use the body cream of your choice all over your skin. In cooler weather, put some of the cream in the palm of your hand and rub the cream between both palms to warm it up and thin it out before rubbing on your body. The cream is so thick and cooler weather makes it thicker. Some find that they get better results when they put the body cream on their body while their skin is still wet or moist from the shower. When you exfoliate your skin, you are mildly abrading your skin and removing the surface layer of dead cells. This helps hide fine lines, removes dead, dry skin, and adds a glow and luster to your skin. Once you start exfoliating regularly, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it - your skin will feel great all day. Follow the below procedure above about once or twice a week and your skin will love you for it! |
